2024 Round Up
I just re-read all of my end of year blogs from over the years and it brought a little tear to my eye.
Reading all about how we battled through the pandemic in 2020 (our first full year of trading) and 2021. In 2022, I left Philgood (August) going full-time with LHrehab and by December, I had signed a two-year contract at a massive studio. We got the keys February 2023 and then hired the lovely Azlee in May.
I rounded off the 2023 blog by saying:
‘My aims for 2024 are similar to my personal goals – there aren’t many. Which, as most of you will know, is very strange for me! I’m the person that is ALWAYS looking for the next big thing but this year I feel content. 2023 has been crazy & I’m looking forward to slowing down and appreciating what I’ve already achieved.’
Who was I kidding?!?!!
In May this year (weirdly the exact date we took on Azlee the year before), Yaz joined the team. She brought her yoga, massage and personal training knowledge – which allowed us to run our evening yoga workshops which have been a great success!
A month after that, Alex also joined the team – with the same degree as me, she was a perfect candidate! She also has a special interest in women’s health which has been a brilliant addition to our services. It has been really lovely to build as a team, doing in-house CPD and even going away to Birmingham together for the Therapy Expo at the NEC.
In August, we ran our first full day retreat – the weather was AGAINST us – but all the girls who came had a lovely time. We spent the day providing classes, massages, food and drink – finishing with a soundbath & chill. August also saw us celebrate 5 whole years of LHrehab – which apparently only 50% of businesses do! This felt really special with the 3 girls by my side.
More recently we have just added Millie into our team as a fully sponsored athlete. She’s an incredible horse rider and the plan is to combine her knowledge of all things equestrian with my rehab knowledge to create content to help others.
2024 also saw us reach over 100 five star reviews on google, get Hannah’s quote hand-painted on the wall, add an aircon unit and I’ve just signed a lease for 3 more years at Bay Tree Barn! So… not exactly the sit back and relax year I seemed to have planned.
2024 stats roundup:
- 1,196 appointments
- 123 new clients
- 645 total clients now on the books
Plans going forward in 2025:
Unfortunately, December saw Azlee have her last full day here as she steps back to focus on family. Luckily, she will be popping back every now and then to run some of the exciting workshops we have planed for the year – starting with the ‘NEW YEAR RESET’ on the 5th January. Yaz will be stepping in and taking over Azlee’s regular clients and classes on Thursdays and I have every confidence that everything will keep running smoothly.
My personal goals for 2025 are exciting – did you hear I’m RUNNING A MARATHON?! I am trying to raise some money for WillberryWonderPony so please follow my (slow) progress over on LHrehab’s social media and stay updated with all the latest news. I will also be increasing my own personal hours at work – especially over the summer as Alex steps back for a few months. I would like to attend some more courses (if anyone has requests please shout!) and provide more in-house CPD for the girls. My main focus for next year is to improve our social media & marketing and provide more educational content – including monthly events, workshops & talks!
I can’t believe another year has gone by but here we are!
As always, I hope you and your family have had a wonderful Christmas break,
All my love,
Lydia xx
